I hope you all had a great long weekend! We can all agree that Memorial Day weekend marks the kickoff to summer, right? I definitely used it to embrace the new season, doing some quintessentially summer things: I ate my first ice cream cone of the summer (outside in the hot, hot sunshine), splashed in a kiddie pool in the backyard and a did little sunbathing. It was great! I am ready for more summer and here are a couple of other ways I to live it to the fullest:
Eat outside : What says summer more than eating al fresco? I love sitting barefoot outside on the deck, having dinner. Also, grabbing lunch on a restaurant patio? The best.
Play hooky : I'm taking some time off of work! It's the best time of year to use those precious vacation days and I've already put a handful of vaction days on my work calendar. While technically not playing hooky (I'm the responsible type), I still hope to sleep in late, have a leisurely lunches (outside), take a little road trips and just enjoy.
Go swimming : When the weather is blisteringly hot, I am going to strip down and seek refuge in the water! I am already dreaming of the feeling of floating on top of the water, the sun warming exposed skin. Such a great summer feeling.
